Andy Phillips was claimed off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds. He’s a right handed hitting first baseman but only had 21 at-bats for the Reds this season. He was 3 for 21. However, he did hit well at Triple-A Louisville: .315/ 5 HR/ 22 RBI in 40 games.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Wayne Krivsky just joined the Mets organization as a special assistant to the GM. He’s the one that signed Phillips with the Reds.

This may signal that the Mets front office is feeling the same dissatisfaction with Carlos Delgado that the fans are. I sure hope so.
