Nick Evans, who came up to the Mets with a bang in Colorado, was sent back down to the minors today. He’ll be replaced on the roster by Abraham Nunez.
Evans was assigned to Double-A Binghamton. Nunez was picked up on May 19 after being release by the Milwaukee Brewers. He’s a 32 year old infielder that was only hitting .135 in 15 games at Triple-A New Orleans.
