The Mets purchased the contract of Brian Burgamy from the Newark Bears. He’s a utility man that’s started at five positions with the Bears. He’s hitting .265 with six doubles, three homers, and 14 RBI’s. He’ll report to Class-A Port St. Lucie of the Florida State League.
