On Deck- August 29- Mets at Marlins [Game 1]

New York Mets (74-60 Road: 33-35) at Florida Marlins (68-66 Home:35-31) 7:10pm

Oliver Perez (9-7 4.00) vs. Chris Volstad (4-3 3.42)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: Volstad is the Marlins hot-shot rookie pitcher that’s looked pretty good in eight starts this season. Perez didn’t pitch all that well in his last start at Shea against the Astros. But he’s had a great second half this season. It should be a good match up in Miami.

    What a great win!

TD, how about that Beltan? He’s clutch!!!

  3. TD says:

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. He had so many little squib hits the last two games.
I hope that at bat will give him more confidence. He needs to shine this time of year.

  4. Dave Doyle says:

He has had more squib hits in a short time than anyone. But I still think he’s an excellent player. I’d rather have him than Mike Cameron.
