Lehigh Valley IronPigs

Myers is 3-9 with a 5.84 ERA in 17 starts this season. Myers was optioned so he didn’t have to go through waivers, which he would never make it through. He didn’t have to accept the move having five years of MLB service time. Myers will try to get himself right with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.

Myers made 31 or more starts from 2003-2006. Then last season the Phillies switched him to the bullpen where he appeared in 51 games (3 of which were starts). He had 21 saves last season. He hasn’t been able to make the switch back to the rotation successfully this season.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Mets won’t get to tee off on Myers this weekend like the rest of the league has this season.

They should bring him back up to face the Mets. Lousy pitchers have consistently beaten the Mets this season.
