MLB.com is reporting that Mets pitcher Mike Pelfrey is among many that have been swindeled by billionaire finacier Robert Allen Stanford. Yankees players Johnny Damon and former Mets Xavier Nady are also reported to be among the victims.
All three players are clients of agent Scott Boras. So you have to wonder if he was directing them to invest with Stanford. But Boras says that he’s examined the situation and doesn’t feel that the players will face any permanent financial losses.

Don’t you just love Scott Boras? If Websters dictionary used photos to identify the meaning of words, then his face would be the photo for words like sleaze, greed, and so many more I cannot spend the day listing them. Of course if you listen to him talk, or read what he is quoted as saying, he is one step below God in his own assessment of himself. He should be banned from MLB along with steroids and HGH. lol

Robin- I don’t know for a fact that Scott Boras had anything to do with this. But it is quite a coincidence that they’re all his clients. Isn’t it?

As much of a coincidence as is ARods’s cousin and the MLB banned steroid dealer sharing hotel rooms in the same hotels Alex stayed at in ’07 huh?
