This one is interesting. The NY Post reports that the Mets have removed the NY Post and the Daily News from their locker room. The implication is that the Mets don’t want to see what’s written about them. The only paper that’s allowed now is the USA Today. Mets PR man Jay Horwitz tells reporters that it’s because the USA Today is the official paper of MLB. Yeah, right Jay.
I didn’t realize that anybody still read actual newspapers. Apparently, the Mets were the last people to still do that.

Personally. If I were an MLB player or any pro player for that matter, I would not read the local papers unless I had a very good day, or was in a good streak. However. keeping local papers out of the Mets locker room simply shows how pathetic the Coupon- Minayac regime is getting. Are they afraid of peoples opinions? after all. this blog and our comments, are nothing more then opinions, they are not profoundly earth altering in any way,Newspaper columns with the exception of the few reporters that really do have connections to valid sources, and baseball knowledge are the same thing…an opinion , and nothing more.
Paranoia. fragile egos, and isolationism is all I can take away from this. LOL I am disappointed that a PR guy like Jay would go along with this. Then again. look at who owns and runs this circus. Its embarrassing that they couldnt simply NOT read the papers without the story becoming public too. Whats next? no booing allowed at the park or you will get ejected? sheesh.
