http://view.picapp.com//JavaScripts/OTIjs.jsMike Pelfrey just hasn’t been able to get it together once again tonight. He went 5.2 innings and gave up 4 earned runs on 8 hits and 4 walks. The umpire behind the plate was pretty bad with one of the smallest strike zones I’ve seen in a while. That certainly didn’t help.

Surprisingly, Pelfrey wasn’t the worst pitcher of the night for the Mets. Raul Valdes had his worst game as a Met giving up 4 runs without recording an out in the sixth. He gave up two homers and had absolutely nothing. It was a surprise because he’s been so good with what doesn’t appear to be great stuff.

The bright spot of the night was David Wright going 3 for 4 with two homers in his first two at-bats. Those homers resulted in 5 RBI’s tonight for him.

This is the Mets fourth straight loss to the horrible D-Backs team. They need to toughen up and get some payback this weekend.
