Pelfrey NL Player of The Week

Mike Pelfrey was named the National League player of the week. The New York Mets pitcher has won six consecutive games and has a 2.26 ERA in his last nine starts. Pelfrey has just been phenomenal for the last month and a half. I know that this run started under the tutelage of Rick Peterson but new pitching coach Dan Warthen has clearly had a tangible impact on the Mets pitching staff.

Congrats to Pelfrey. And it looks like y’all are really humming goin’ into the break. 9 in a row and a half a game out of it. Has Manuel just brought it all together or what?

Y’all got Player of The Week and our Jurrjens was named Rookie of the Month. He’s been awesome this year.

Well let’s hope both our teams’ guys at the All Star Game can get us a win and undo the AL “dominance” you mentioned in the other post.
