Mets Pitchers And Catchers Report To Spring Training Feb. 13

We finally got some news today about the spring training reporting date for the Mets pitchers and catchers. They need to be in Port St. Lucie on February 13th with physicals on the 14th and on-field workouts on the 15th. If you’re into really early spring action, you can now make your travel plans.

Games don’t start until February 25th. Position players need to be in PSL on February 17th with their physicals the next day. The first day of full squad workouts is on February 19th.

Thanks to the NY Post for the information.

  1. Dear Mr. Doyle: Can ‘regular’ people just show up to Port St. Lucie and watch the pitchers and catchers work out? I will be in Florida that Friday. What is the procedure, if any?

    Thank you,

    1. Gail,

Good question… Generally, you can go to Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie and see some work outs during the day. There aren’t any games until Feb. 26th, but if you go to the fields during the day before games start you can usually find players working out. It’s a great time to go too because the players are often accessible for autographs, if you’re into that. Many of the players that are there early will be minor league players though. Enjoy and let us know how it went.
