Mets 10 – Dodgers 5 April 27, 2010 Game 2

New York Mets David Wright slaps hands with Jason Bay at Citi Field in New York Mets put on an offensive show in the second game of the double header tonight. They swept the double header today and won their sixth straight game. This is the kind of game that I expected to see a lot of this season with the Mets scoring plenty of runs.

Oliver Perez started the game but didn’t last long. He only went 3.2 IP and gave up 3 ER. Jerry Manuel clearly had a quick hook ready for Perez. But Hisanori Takahashi put up another great long relief performance going 3.1 IP giving up only 1 ER.

The star on offense was David Wright surprisingly. He was hearing the boo’s in the first game. In the second game he went 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s including a bases clearing triple in the sixth inning. Hopefully, that’ll get Wright going again.

Ike Davis chipped in with 3 RBI’s after going 1 for 3 and Henry Blanco was 2 for 4 in the game.

The Mets will try to finish off a second consecutive series sweep when the play the Dodgers tomorrow afternoon.
