The good news: The Mets are playing all six games at home, where they have a quite impressive 19-9 mark.
The terrible news: They are a combined 2-8 against the Padres and the Marlins this year (1-6 against Florida, 1-2 against San Diego).
They’ve had more prolonged trouble against Florida, losing two of three to them in the opening series at Citi this year, and then getting swept in a four game set in Miami in the middle of May.
Predicted Mets Home Stand Record: 4-2. The Mets are avoiding Josh Johnson this time around, while the Mets have the indestructible R.A. Dickey on the mound twice on the home stand. Jon Niese back in the rotation will be a big boost. The Mets take two of three from both series.
