http://view.picapp.com//JavaScripts/OTIjs.jsThe Mets put up one run in the top of the first inning on a David Wright RBI single and they never looked back. The Orioles are just a terrible team and it’s a good time to beat up on a team during a road trip. R.A. Dickey was very solid again. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop with him and it isn’t happening. Tonight he went 7 IP allowing 1 run and had a career high 8 strikeouts. The knuckler was moving. Rod Barajas had 2 passed balls and Dickey had a wild pitch that allowed the O’s to score their only run.

The Mets offense was solid with 10 hits and 1 walk. The big blast was a Chris Carter 3-run homer to right field in the fourth inning. Those are so rare for the Mets that it’s a shock when they get one. Wright was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s as well.

It’s a good way to start a three game series in Baltimore.
