Last time we joined you for a road trip preview, even though the teams on the schedule featured lower-talented rosters, the Mets’ 8-18 record on the road at the time gave all skeptics some fuel for the thought of another horrible road trip for the Amazin’s.
The Mets posted a more than impressive 7-2 record on that road trip, pushing their overall road record to a respectable 15-20.
It only gets harder this time around, as they face off against the rival Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals. They may be the two worst teams in the division record-wise, but the Mets are currently 3-8 this year on the road against divisional opponents. That will need to change quickly in order for the Mets to have a successful road trip.

I’m very excited to see the Mets match up against “The Phenom” on Saturday. Naturally, the Strasburg game is on national television (like every other Strasburg start).
The last time the Mets played Florida on the road, they were swept in a four-game series. Luckily, the location has changed this time around, as the teams will be playing at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
My Predicted Mets Road Trip Record: 4-3. Besides Strasburg, they’re not facing any top-notch pitching, but it’s hard to look at a 7-game road trip and be disappointed with a 4-3 mark.
