Although his last start against the Nationals was the worst of the season giving up 6 ER in 4.1 IP. John Maine (1-2 5.45) vs Nate Robertson (3-3 4.54)

TV: WPIX   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets need to salvage the last two games of the series just to secure  a split with the Marlins. Jerry Manuel has been hinting for a few days about lineup changes, maybe we’ll finally see something tonight. Maine has had three quality starts in a row and the Mets have won three of the last four games that he started. Robertson has been up and down for the Marlins. Though they’ve lost three of the last four games that he started.

Oliver Perez (0-2 4.50) vs Anibal Sanchez (1-2 4.08)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets have lost 4 of 5 games and really need to get a win. Manuel promised changes to the lineup after the offense just can’t seem to get it going lately. The Mets have lost 5 of the 6 games that Perez started this season and he was awful in his last start against the Giants. The Marlins have lost 4 of the 6 games that Sanchez started although he hasn’t been that bad in his starts.

Johan Santana (3-2 4.54) vs Josh Johnson (3-1 3.35)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets and Marlins start up a four game series in Miami tonight. The Marlins just won 2 of 3 from the Cubbies in Chicago. Johnson has been his usual rock-solid self with the Marlins winning two of the last three games that he started. Santana recovered a bit in his last start going 7.2IP against the Giants, but he did give up 4 ER. That’s shaky for him.
