On Deck- Mets At Reds Game 3

New York Mets (52-45 Road: 24-27) at Cincinnati Reds (47-51 Home: 27-20) 7:40pm

Oliver Perez (6-5 4.44) vs. Josh Fogg (1-2 7.94)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets don’t have the pressure of a winning streak hanging over them anymore after last night’s loss. But the team can still guarantee a split in the series against the Reds with a win tonight. Perez has been stunning in his last three starts, absolutely dominating the opposition. Fogg has gone back and forth from the rotation to the bullpen for the Reds, and hasn’t won a game since April 9th.

On Deck- Mets At Reds Game 2

New York Mets (52-44 Road: 24-26) at Cincinnati Reds (46-51 Home:26-20) 7:10pm

John Maine (8-6 3.99) vs. Bronson Arroyo (7-7 5.97)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets take their ten game winning streak into tonight’s game. Maine hasn’t won a game since June 25th (his last win) and hasn’t pitched more than six innings since June 20th. He’s got something to prove tonight. Maine’s a high ball pitcher though, which can be dangerous in the small park in Cincy.

On Deck- Mets At Reds Game 1

New York Mets (51-44 Road: 23-26) at Cincinnati Reds (46-50 Home:26-19) 7:10pm

Johan Santana (8-7 2.84) vs. Johnny Cueto (7-9 4.67)

TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets, baseball’s hottest team, roll into Cincy for a four game weekend series beginning tonight. A nice pitching match-up kicks off the series with Santana going up against young gun Cueto. The Mets are looking to extend their winning streak to ten games tonight.

On Deck- July 13- Rockies At Mets Game 3

Colorado Rockies (39-56 Road: 14-35) at New York Mets (50-44 Home: 27-18) 8:05pm

Mark Redman(2-4 7.07) vs. Mike Pelfrey (7-6 3.93)

TV: ESPN  Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets go for the sweep tonight on national TV, and go for nine straight wins going into the All-Star break. Pelfrey has won his last five starts and has a string of eight very good starts in a row. Redman has lost his last three decisions for the Rockies and hasn’t pitched very consistently this season.

On Deck: July 12- Rockies At Mets Game 2

Colorado Rockies (39-55 Road: 14-34) at New York Mets (49-44 Home: 26-18) 3:55pm

Ubaldo Jimenez (4-8 4.21) vs. Pedro Martinez (3-2 6.86)

TV: Fox  Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets try to extend their winning streak to eight games on national TV this afternoon. Pedro had a pretty good start on Monday in Philadelphia, it was probably his best of the season so far. Pedro has really been the one starter that hasn’t lifted his game significantly over the last three weeks. Jimenez completely dominated the Mets on June 21 going eight innings and giving up only one run.

On Deck- July 11- Rockies At Mets Game 1

Colorado Rockies (39-54 Road: 14-33) at New York Mets (48-44 Home: 25-18) 7:10pm

Aaron Cook (11-6 3.66) vs. Oliver Perez (6-5 4.62)

TV: CW11   Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets carry a six game win streak into the series against the Rockies. Colorado just split a four game series in Milwaukee. This could turn out to be a scouting opportunity for the Mets to see what Matt Holliday can do outside of Coors Field. The Mets want at least two out of three to go into the All-Star break strong.

On Deck: July 10- Giants At Mets Game 3

San Francisco Giants (39-52 Road: 22-24) at New York Mets (47-44 Home: 24-18) 1:10pm

Barry Zito (4-12 5.73) vs. John Maine (8-6 3.91)

TV: SNY Radio: WFAN

What to watch: The Mets go for the three game sweep this afternoon and six wins in a row. The biggest bust in baseball history Barry Zito goes up against the Mets today. He has won four of his last ten starts though after a dreadful start to the season. Maine left his last start with cramping in his non-pitching arm but should be fine today. He hasn’t had a “bad” start since June 15th against Texas.
