Milwaukee Brewers (7-4)  at  New York Mets (5-5)  1:10pm    TV: CW11   Radio: WFAN

Jeff Suppan (1-0) vs. Oliver Perez (1-0)

What to watch: This is another important game to win a home series. They don’t want to lose home series, especially this early in the season. Oliver Perez has been terrific in his first two starts. He’s pitched 11.2 innings, 0 runs, 4 BB, 10 K’s. Jeff Suppan has done almost as well in his first two starts so this could end up being a good pitching match up.

Milwaukee Brewers (6-4) at New York Mets (5-4)   1:10pm   TV: SNY   Radio: WFAN

Ben Sheets (1-0) vs. Johan Santana (1-1)

What to watch:  This is a big-time premium pitching match up, ace vs. ace. Luis Castillo should return to the lineup for the Mets and Jose Reyes will probably be out with a tight hamstring.

Philadelphia Phillies (4-4) at New York Mets (2-4)   7:10pm  TV: SNY, ESPN2   Radio: WFAN

Kyle Kendrick (1-0) vs. Mike Pelfrey (0-0)

What to watch:  Although it’s early in the season, the Mets really do need a win to take this three game series from the Phillies. They don’t want to lose two series in a row so early to division rivals. Mike Pelfrey had a very rough spring and is only pitching by default, due to injury to El Duque. He needs to impress or he might not get another start.

New York Mets (2-2) at Atlanta Braves (2-3) 1:30pm TV: SNY Radio: WFAN-AM

Johan Santana vs. John Smoltz

What to watch: I thought John Maine vs. Tim Hudson would be a good pitching match-up but it didn’t turn out that way. Santana and Smoltz are both headed for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Smoltz is already in. Santana is well on his way. The Mets don’t want to drop a two-game series in Atlanta. They need a win today to remain above .500.
