Mets Lineup Starting to Look Normal

Ben Shipgel at the NY Times reports that Carlos Beltran is playing center field for the first time this spring. The lineup today is starting to look like one that we’ll see during the regular season. From Ben Shipgel:

Rumor: Angel Pagan Trade for Coco Crisp

Ed Coleman of WFAN reported the rumor that the Mets were working on a deal with the Red Sox for Coco Crisp for Angel Pagan. This move doesn’t make any sense to me. The Mets don’t need another light-hitting defensive outfielder. They already have two: Angel Pagan and Endy Chavez. The Mets need a corner outfielder/first baseman with a little pop in his bat.
